HaganaH NUCLEUS Program: No Politics, All Training!
It has been a long time since I wanted to put together what I am now calling the HaganaH NUCLEUS Program.
For years now , I have been Certifying FIGHT Instructors , to teach our core FIGHT curriculum. This program was put together by the brilliant mind of my partner, Randy Proto, over months of research into my mind and over months physically training on the mat personally with me. Since the first FIGHT Certification, many Martial Arts Instructors, Law Enforcement DT Instructors and Military Combative Instructors have been Certified as FIGHT Instructors. All of which passed my scrutiny eye during the training in the Certification. So on a standard level, all FIGHT Instructors , were personally Certified by me.
The challenge that gave birth to the HaganaH NUCLEUS was never in the FIGHT Certification itself, that Certification has been proven to be working and is functionally solid. The challenge was after the fact individuals were Certified. Some became very dedicated FIGHT Instructors and have become Great Ambassadors to our system, however , every coin has two sides…and some fell short of being like the other positive ambassadors. But, all nothing less are FIGHT Instructors. A few years ago, I thought that the HaganaH Black Belt Test would have been the solution to this, but unfortunately it wasn’t. Some tested for their HaganaH Black Belts and stop being active short after their test or faded out slower. Or somethings became very political. Some people mistaken rank for power, while rank to me is simply an indicator of your responsibility of level of representation.
There have been high level FIGHT Instructors confiding in me that they didn’t understand why some FIGHT Instructors that are as half as dedicated to training as they are get the same recognition as them simply because they are Certified, they said , and I quote : “Thats Bullshit”…..to some degree , I personally agree with that!
So I have decided to create a program that will not cancel out anything else we are doing, but a program that will identify the Dedicated, the Driven, the Genuine, the Loyal FIGHT Instructors: the HaganaH “NUCLEUS” Program. This is a program within the IHF, it does not Certify….it recognizes the Elite FIGHT Instructors who are constantly striving to keep up with the highest standards of our teaching evolution.
a website that will be in my personal control for updates will be dedicated to the HaganaH NUCLEUS Program. In that website we will list all HaganaH NUCLEUS Instructors with a full Instructor Profile. When they got initially FIGHT Certified, when and if they completed Ground Survival , Israeli Tactical Knife Fighting Instructors Certifications. When and if they attended ICS courses with me, or IPTT courses with Garret. When and if they completed Combat Fitness Instructor Certification with James Cooper. When and if the completed any of Combat Wrestling Instructor Certifications with John Clarke. It will lists which Annual conferences the FIGHT Instructor attended and completed. (some show up, and don’t complete the training at the conferences, I keep a record of that)….in other words it will have a FULL blueprint of their level of expertise in our system , and students will be able to see the credential of their Head Instructors in their FIGHT schools and the level of the Associates Instructors in that same school. I am putting together a team of website designers that will build this website exactly to my vision of how I want it to look and function and creating a system that I can go in there and update information instantly so I dont rely on someone else doing it for me and everyone else waiting for that bottle neck to pass. I will announce the name of the website very shortly, I already have the domain.
So what does that mean to you the FIGHT Instructor? its quite simple, you can chose to join the HaganaH NUCLEUS , or not. If you don’t, your FIGHT Instructor Status will NOT change. Membership into the HaganaH NUCLEUS is totally optional , not mandatory.
Membership into the HaganaH NUCLEUS is subject to approval , my approval. When applying for membership you will have to request an application, I will send you a hard copy in the mail. You will then have to fill it up and send it back with 1 passport picture and a check , payable to IHF , in the amount $100 for membership fee (this is a one time fee, it never occurs again). Please be advised anyone seeking HaganaH “NUCLEUS” Instructor Status must be an existing Certified FIGHT Instructor and must have one, or more, of the following pre-requisites:
A) Attendance, and completion of training, at the Annual HaganaH Conference in the last 12 months
B) Attendance, and completion of training, at any Instructor’s Certification at the National Headquarters in the last 12 months
C) attendance, and completion of training, at a FIGHT Camp in the last 12 months
If you do not have at least one of the three pre-requisites listed above, your application will not be accepted at this time. (that does not mean you no longer a FIGHT Instructor, that means we want to see you on the mat and you got some catching up to do before we can recognize you as a Haganah NUCLEUS Instructor)

After reviewing your information in the application, I will inform you if you were accepted into the HaganaH NUCLEUS , if you were accepted a $100 Voucher toward the annual HaganaH Conference coming up in 2012 will be sent to you ( Voucher offer Expires August 1st, 2011). In other words membership into the HaganaH NUCLEUS in the next 3 weeks washes out to be free!!! If your application will be rejected I will send you back your check with the denied application notice.
My graphic designer is almost done with the HaganaH NUCLEUS logo, it will become the Ultimate stamp of highest standard approval in our organization. The logo will have one of the bread wheat from the Insignia of HaganaH’s Palmach, the Golani tree in the background,a Kabar Knife and Kanarek in Hebrew. All FIGHT Instructors who join the HaganaH NUCLEUS will be able to bring (in person, not by mail) their Original FIGHT Instructor Certificate and trade it in for a HaganaH NUCLEUS Instructor Certificate.

HaganaH NUCLEUS is open Only to FIGHT Instructors, not students , it is a leadership program. ALL FIGHT Instructors can apply, both Head Instructors (schools owners) and Associate Instructors. If your Head Instructor does not apply, it will not prejudice you to be a member.
